WHY HIRE AN ISA CERTIFIED ARBORIST?
An ISA Certified Arborist is a professional who has been trained in the science and practice of tree care. ISA Certified Arborists have to be in the industry for at least three years before they can take the lengthy ISA certification exam. Once certified, Arborists must maintian their certification by earning continuing education credits. All this training means you are hiring a knowlegable and skilled professional to care for your trees!
WHY WE DON'T "TOP" TREES
Topping (heading, stubbing, etc.) causes unsafe structure, increases the tree's risk for disease and insects and negatively impacts the physiology and health of the tree. Additionally, a topped tree is not attractive and therefore reduces the overall value of the tree.
EMERALD ASH BORER (EAB)
The Emerald Ash Borer (EAB) is an emerald green beetle smaller than a dime. It has destroyed over 40 million trees in Michigan alone and has spread quickly through the east, mid-west and into Colorado. EAB is confirmed in Boulder County and an EAB quarantine area has been established to slow the progression of the bug. Please help save our Ash trees by respecting the quarantine area and by not moving firewood!
